Pam Wilkins, Owner/Master Designer - Pam graduated from Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Indiana in 1971.  She graduated from Augusta Beauty College in 1979 and opened her salon in 1982.  She currently sits on the board of T. Harry Garrett Elementary Advisory Council, National Hills Elementary School Council, Secretary/Treasurer for West Augusta Baseball, and Richmond County Board of Education’s Citizen’s Oversight Committee.  She is a 1997 Graduate of Leadership Augusta and worked on the MCG/CMC Telethon committee for 15 years before retiring from that position to work with West Augusta Baseball.  Pam is very grateful for the many clients who have trusted her with their hair needs for many years and still loves every day of working and serving.  She is honored to carry only the best in haircare with REDKEN chemical products.  Pam is a member of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta.  Pam says “I am blessed to have the best and sweetest clientele and team of designers in the world and we would be honored if you join us by allowing any talented team member to serve you and your family.  We strive to stay on top of new trends and techniques, work on listening skills and do our very best to exceed your expectations during your visits to our salon.”

 

Lauren Purvis is a designer and has worked with us for 2 1/2 years, first as an assistant while finishing school at Lacy’s School of Cosmetology in Aiken, SC.  She attends Victory Baptist  Church in North Augusta and is very active in the ministries there.  She loves the staff, and environment of Accent On Hair and absolutely loves doing hair as a service to the public. She loves working with people and specializes in family haircutting.  She loves highlighting and any kind of coloring and is very talented in makeup application and eyebrow art.   

 

Carrie Lentz Miller is a designer and has worked with us for 5 years.  She graduated from Augusta Christian School in 2002 and on to graduate from Lacy’s School of Cosmetology in 2003.  She is married to Jason Miller and has a son, Titus, born in December of 2005 and daughter, Alexis, joining their family in June.  She works parttime (Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday) so that she can serve her family and clients well. Carrie has a passion for foiling and multidimensional highlighting and looks forward to serving the wonderful clients she is blessed with.

 

Jessica Dant is a designer and came to us from Snellville, GA.  She was trained and worked at Genesis Salon in Snellville as a hair stylist.  She moved to the Augusta area and joined our team in January of 2007 and is loving it here.  She attends Kiokee Baptist Church in Appling.  She has a true gift with corrective color and has exceeded the expectations of many delighted clients with her ability to remedy almost any challenge.  She loves serving her clients and specializes in hair coloring, multidimensional highlighting and corrective coloring.

 

Tina Carroll is a designer and an Augusta native, graduating from Evans High School in 2002.  She graduated from Augusta Technical College and joined the team at Accent On Hair since June of 2007.  She loves working with the team and clients in a very comfortable and joyful environment.  With a desire to own a salon in the future, she works very hard to learn every facet of our business and is very talented in men’s and women’s haircutting and any type of coloring. 

 

Kristin Nixon is a Master Designer and graduated from John Milledge Academy in Milledgeville, GA.  Growing up she always loved fashion and hair and knew immediately out of high school that she would go to cosmetology school.  She graduated from Central Georgia Technical College in December of 2001.  She decided to start working in a salon for the experience before she graduated, so in September of 2001, she began working for Beverly and Jimmy Knight at Stage One Family Haircutters in Milledgeville and that is where she has been working for six years.  She has arrived in Augusta as Mrs. Matt Nixon as she married him on 01-26-08!  She has an amazing gift of fitting the perfect hair design to any facial shape and excels in multidimensional foiling. Welcome Kristin to our team!!
 
Duke Carroll has been doing massage therapy but mid September of 2008, he will be discontinuing massage and will begin as front desk support.  He loves working with people and has a great sense of humor.  Along with his wife, Tina (one of our designers), Duke is working toward a goal of owning their own salon in the future and is taking business management and computer classes to learn every facet.

Mary Jane Finch is a Master Designer who has 20+ years of experience.  She is formerly of Jill Wagner's Salon and Day Spa and came to work with us upon it's closing.  We are very honored to have her as part of our team.  She is extremely talented in all facets of hairstyling and keeps most of the News Team at WAGT Channel 26 looking great!!!

 

Rebecca Wilkins came to us as front desk support.  She is from Snellville, GA and graduated in 2004 from Georgia College and State University.  She is currently apprenticing to become a licensed designer.  Her desire grew as she observed our team as she already has a love for serving the public and is very excited about her new career.

 

Sara Brown is a Designer who left our team for a year in Texas and has returned to Augusta and to our team.  She grew up in Beech Island and is a very active member of First Presbyterian Church in Augusta and its college ministries with Campus Outreach.  She has a true gift of listening, caring and serving the public with their haircare needs.  Welcome back Sara!!!
